BusConnects Phase Two – Request for your input

The proposal to increase bus frequency and quality, improving and adding to the cycling and pedestrian infrastructure is welcome.

As you may be aware the second (infrastructure) phase of the proposed BusConnects Plan, which includes the corridor from Blanchardstown via Navan Road to the City, is currently out for consultation.

This phase deals with the physical changes that are proposed to facilitate the necessary bus corridors and cycle lanes such as removal of trees, parts of some front gardens and parts of footpaths.

Navan Road Community Council sent a detailed submission on Phase One of the Scheme which dealt with the changes to bus routes and numbers.

The Community Council intends to make a submission on the current phase and would like to invite residents of the Navan Road Area to participate by contacting us on navanroad.com or by email at navanroadcc@gmail.com with any comments or concerns you may have about this phase which we will take into account when making our submission.

We would encourage as many of you as possible to send in your own submission/comments by email to cbc@busconnects.ie, by online submission or by post to NTA, Dun Sceine, Harcourt Lane, D02WT20.

Deadline for submissions has been extended to Friday 1st March, 2019.

Navan Road Community Council

Navan Road Community Council was set up in 1968 to help bring together community groups and sporting groups, so that they would have one voice when trying to get things done in the community. These days the NRCC lobbies Dublin City Council and local representatives in relation to issues such as traffic, planning and policing to name a few.
