Runs in the Park

Bank Holiday Monday 2nd May ARC 10 K run some road closures from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. Ashtown Gate/No right turn inside from 9.30 a.m. – 1.00 p.m.

Saturday 7th May – Darkness into Light – some road closures from 3.00 a.m. – 6.45 a.m.

New trees for the Park – Many larger older trees have had to be felled due to danger and disease such as Ganoderma and Kretzschmaria Deusta which can cause crown or trunk collapse. In commemoration of 1916 a new avenue of 185 Plane Trees is being planted along Furze Road (across main Avenue from Visitor Centre). Think about planting a tree, suitable to smaller gardens, for next generation to enjoy. www.phoenixpark.ie

Navan Road Community Council

Navan Road Community Council was set up in 1968 to help bring together community groups and sporting groups, so that they would have one voice when trying to get things done in the community. These days the NRCC lobbies Dublin City Council and local representatives in relation to issues such as traffic, planning and policing to name a few.
