Papal Visit 25th & 26th August 2018

The Papal Mass on Sunday 26th August 2018 is going to mean severe traffic restrictions in the Navan Road and surrounding areas.  All homes in our area should have received a pack in the post detailing all the road closures and Phoenix Park restrictions by now.

The Business & Community Liaison Team will be holding a meeting for residents and businesses in the Navan Road/Cabra/Stoneybatter/NCR areas.

The meeting will take place on Monday 20th August 2018 at 7pm in The Holy Family Parish Centre, 13, Prussia Street, Stoneybatter, Dublin 7. The Centre is past Tesco heading into town and is served by the 37, 39, 39a, 70 bus routes and the 46A is a short walk away.

There will be a representative from the World Meeting of Families, An Garda Siochana Traffic Division, The National Transport Authority and Dublin City Council attending.

Navan Road Community Council are urging people to attend the meeting and in particular anyone who has to leave our area and return during the road closures which are taking place from 6.00am to 11.59pm on the Sunday.  You can register to attend by email at businessandcommunity.papal@opw.ie

Navan Road Community Council

Navan Road Community Council was set up in 1968 to help bring together community groups and sporting groups, so that they would have one voice when trying to get things done in the community. These days the NRCC lobbies Dublin City Council and local representatives in relation to issues such as traffic, planning and policing to name a few.
