Road Restrictions due to Papal Mass

The Phoenix Park will close completely this evening Friday 24th August 2018 at 7.00pm.

It will not reopen until Tuesday 28th August 2018 at 7am.

This will result in extra traffic on the Navan Road (when the road is open).

The Navan Road from Cabra Cross to the M50, The River Road and Blackhorse Avenue will close at 6am on Sunday 26th and will not reopen until 11pm on Sunday night.  The roads may reopen earlier in the evening if the pedestrian traffic has cleared the area.

There will be no buses at all on the Navan Road on Sunday 26th August 2018.  The 37, 38, 39’s, 70 will operate to Laurel Lodge inbound and will then go to the City Centre via the M50 and Finglas.  The 122 will not operate into the area.

If you must leave and/or enter our area on Sunday you should contact Cabra Garda Station to see what arrangements might be possible.  You can also contact the Business & Community Liaison Team at Businessandcommunity.papal@opw.ie.

There will also be a hotline in operation from 9.00am to 5.00pm every day including Monday 27th August on 01 222 8888.

Navan Road Community Council

Navan Road Community Council was set up in 1968 to help bring together community groups and sporting groups, so that they would have one voice when trying to get things done in the community. These days the NRCC lobbies Dublin City Council and local representatives in relation to issues such as traffic, planning and policing to name a few.
